What we hold to.
Five principles and the standards that follow from them. They are written down so that anyone who works with us, or for us, can hold us to them.

The long horizon.
We build companies meant to outlast the moment they were built in. That changes what we optimise for: durable revenue over fast revenue, small teams over large ones, and products people keep for years over products that spike and fade.
Decisions are weighed in decades. We are willing to be slow where speed would cost trust.

Privately held.
Astorva answers to no outside capital and performs for no quarterly audience. Its divisions are run by the people responsible for them.
The freedom that gives us is the freedom to do the right thing when it is not the profitable thing, and to decline work that does not belong here.

Built for the ones the system misses.
Our first products were made for people who wait longest and are heard least: a person holding a result nobody has explained, a small business facing a rule nobody has translated. That is where we began and it is the standard every venture is held to.
Serving those people well turns out to be the hardest engineering problem we know. It is also the one worth solving.

Precision and discretion.
We work quietly. We write everything down, keep what we are told in confidence, and say only what we can stand behind. We do not make promises that depend on other people keeping theirs.
The company keeps its own affairs private and extends the same discretion to everyone it works with. When we are wrong, we say so, fix it, and record what we learned so it is not repeated.

Rooted, not confined.
We are registered in Seychelles and we work with partners across the Indian Ocean, South Asia, Africa, the Gulf and Europe. Being small and far from the centre is not a limitation to apologise for. It is why we see what larger firms overlook.
What the principles require in practice.
Health
- Nothing we build diagnoses. It informs, connects and prepares a person for a clinician.
- Every analysis is reviewed before it is trusted, with the person confirming what was read.
- Features that matter in an emergency are never placed behind a payment.
Data
- Private by default, hosted on infrastructure we control, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- A person's records belong to them and can be exported or deleted on request.
- We collect what a product needs to work and nothing more.
Partners
- Partner ventures live in their own companies with written agreements and clear responsibilities.
- We work with licensed professionals for regulated matters rather than around them.
- What we are told in confidence stays in confidence.
